BAN GAS CHAMBERS for Pets

  • by: Keira and Jetta
  • recipient: President Obama, Prime Minister Stephen Harper

This is a cruel and archaic method, it is also more expensive.

If multiple animals are placed in a chamber, they can start fighting out of fear and desperation.  It is a very stressful situation, the gas can take longer to be effective if the animal is stressed.  A lethal injection is much quicker and humane.

*28 states do not have a ban in place on gas chambers (and 11 states still use them).  All 50 U.S. states (and provinces of Canada) need to ban this method.

*Spay & Neuter.  Adopt, don't shop.  Please help - there are so many homeless pets!

Nevada, Utah, Wyoming, Michigan, Kentucky, Ohio, Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma have either confirmed or suspected use;  no bans in place!

Success:  North Carolina just banned gas chambers on February 15, 2015!
