AFFORDABLE HOUSING NOT REACHING THE HOMELESS OR POVERTY STRICKEN

If a person receives SSI, for example, the person grosses about $841.00 per month.  In San Jose, CA, for example, a studio rents between the range of $600.00 to $800.00.  In order to rent, one must be able to show an income of over $1,000.00.  People who are disabled (or poverty stricken) should have the right to choose to have shelter or eat if that becomes the bottom line.

Mr. President please make Congress aware of this problem.  The minimum income requirements are hurting the very people that should be helped with housing.  Thank you in advance for looking into this issue nationwide.
