For many years I have noticed that water sprinkling and irrigation is not being utilized in a smart manner and water has been being wasted unnecesarily.
The system often is not directed properly toward its intended target and left on too long causing water to be wasted running of into the sidewalks, pavement, roadways etc. Get the picture?
Water gets splattered unwantedly onto clothing and vehicles. My petition is to ask the City and government to do away with this system or have it regulated (controled) and enforced more.
Another alternative is to impliment more xeroscaping like the one around the Aurora Municipal Building. People need to create a conscience and remember that this is the west and we live in a dry climate.
This wasted water can be used for a better purpose like firefighting.
