All animal shelters are due to close during the social distance times during covid 19 corona virus. All animals currently in the shelters are at risk to all get euthanized aka murdered! Many people will be alone in their homes during self quarantine process over the next several weeks/ months leaving these animals to die. Los Angeles animal activist post about Los Angeles county dog shelters are circulating and the citizens are furious about this. Many verified and good people that are qualified to care for the dogs are inquiring about fostering or adopting so they are not murdered and the feed back from those inquiring said the process has been very difficult and the shelters just want Money. Turning their backs and leaving these animals to die. I'm these hard depressing times the people of Los Angeles feel helpless. Seeing people die from covid 19 is just heartbreaking leaving us feeling so useless and we have the opportunity to save a soul of a helpless animal yet the shelters are charging outrageous fees and demanding everyone to jump through hoops leaving people to feel helpless
I would like for the mayor Eric Garcetti of Los Angeles to request for shelters to waive the shelter fees and make the foster/adoption process easier during these lockdown /self quarantine months of covid 19 to give families and people the opportunity to find some humanity in the world right now. We need peace and this is bringing us rage and more depression which is not what Angelinos need right now.
I urge the citizens of Los Angeles to sign this to help these animals 🙏🏼 With the mayor behind us and enough people I feel we can help in these hard times.
