Congress MUST Debate President Obama's Requested Authorization for the ISIL (ISIS) War

As American citizens, our direct Reprensentatives are the Members of Congress. Under the U.S. Constitution It is the responsibility of the U.S. CONGRESS to declare War, NOT the President. We need an honest, lengthy, and highly PUBLIC DEBATE on ALL sides of the issues of War and Peace. We must PETITION CONGRESS to remind them of their solemn duty in this regard, TO DEBATE AND DECIDE on whether the U.S. should be at War in the Middle East.

Dear Fellow Americans,

Under the U.S. Constitution it is the responsibility of the U.S. CONGRESS to declare War, NOT the President. We need an honest, lengthy, and highly public debate on ALL sides of the issues of World War and Peace. The first and foremost of these issues at this moment is the U.S. led War in the Middle East which is focused on ISIL aka ISIS.

Congress is shirking its duties by failing to conduct this great debate in any really meaningful manner such that the citizens of the U.S. can be fully informed and be confident that the U.S. Constitution placing the responsibility on Congress to declare War is being fully observed. By signing this PETITION to CONGRESS we are reminding the Members of their solemn duty. The decision on whether the U.S. should be at War in the Middle East is theirs, not President Obama's.
