Princess was found with an arrow through her little body in the Long Beach, California area. Two cats were shot in a similar manner within a couple of weeks in North Long Beach and officials are looking for the public’s help to find the person(s) responsible. The attack occurred between Long Beach and Del Amo boulevards at 51st Street, authorities said. There seems to be a pattern with these abusive behaviors against the cats.
Princess was a pet, brought into the Long Beach Animal Hospital with an arrow protruding from her abdomen. As the vet tried to treat her, she died during surgery. Dr. Carl Palazzolo stated that “No one should shoot a pet. It should be everyone’s concern. It is cruelty to an animal and morally wrong and illegal. It’s that simple.
Photos showed how deep the arrow entered the body. The arrow penetrated the liver, and it came into the abdomen with such force that a different lobe of the liver ruptured through the diaphragm and was in the chest cavity. Officials took possession of the arrow in order to continue their investigation regarding the killing of the cat. A similar incident occurred just about a month ago. Someone is literally targeting cats and shooting them with arrows, most often causing so much damage that the animals either die or have to be euthanized.
A spokesperson involved in the investigation stated that the incidents are about a block apart and “there appears to be a pattern. There has been a general understanding that people that commit crimes against animals can potentially escalate to harming other people.” Authorities are asking for the public’s help with any tips that may lead to an arrest and conviction of this animal abuser!! Long Beach, California Law Enforcers – Please diligently continue your investigation into the slaying of these cats with arrows in the North Long Beach area. Those responsible must be caught and punished severely. As stated, it is so true that “there has been a general understanding that people that commit crimes against animals can potentially escalate to harming other people.” Stop the person(s) responsible before more animals and possibly humans become targeted and harmed. Ensure the investigation until captured and severe punishment is carried out for such abusive animal cruelty.
