Keep State Preschool within McFarland School District

It has been brought to our attention that the McFarland Unified School District is interested in separating our State Preschool from the district. They want to have another program take over. This program will not be under the district. They are a private program from Fresno County.
Our preschool has currently received a four star accreditation and has been fully enrolled all year with a waiting list of children waiting to be serviced. We have caring and knowledgeable staff who are always willing assist and promote an environment and activities which promotes community.
We have brought income in by applying for a grant and through accreditation. The staff is a great asset to the district. We have a staff member who has been her 16 years and the center has been with the district for over 20 years. There is no apparent reason of why our preschool should be separated from the McFarland Unified School District. It would be unjust to staff and community.
