An Open Letter to our Nation's Leadership

Principles
I. Illegal immigration. I want you to stop coddling illegal immigrants and secure our borders. Close the underground tunnels. Stop the violence and the trafficking in drugs and people. No amnesty, not again. Been there, done that, no resolution. P.S., I'm not a racist. This isn't to be confused with legal immigration.
II. TARP. I want it repealed and I want no further funding supplied to it. We told you no, but you did it anyway. I want the remaining unfunded 95% repealed. Freeze, repeal.
III. Czars. I want the circumvention of our checks and balances stopped immediately. Fire the czars. No more czars. Government officials answer to the process, not to the president. Stop trampling on our Constitution and honor it.
IV. Cap and trade. The debate on global warming is not over. There is more to say.
V. Universal healthcare. I will not be rushed into another expensive decision. Don't you dare try to pass this in the middle of the night and then go on break. Slow down!
VI. Growing government control. I want states rights and sovereignty fully restored. I want less government in my life, not more. Shrink it down. Mind your own business. You have enough to take care of with your real obligations. Why don't you start there.
VII. ACORN. I do not want ACORN and its affiliates in charge of our 2010 census. I want them investigated. I also do not want mandatory escrow fees contributed to them every time on every real estate deal that closes. Stop the funding to ACORN and its affiliates pending impartial audits and investigations. I do not trust them with taking the census over with our taxpayer money. I don't trust them with our taxpayer money. Face up to the allegations against them and get it resolved before taxpayers get any more involved with them. If it walks like a duck and talks like a duck, hello. Stop protecting your political buddies. You work for us, the people. Investigate.
VIII. Redistribution of wealth. No, no, no. I work for my money. It is mine. I have always worked for people with more money than I have because they gave me jobs. That is the only redistribution of wealth that I will support. I never got a job from a poor person. Why do you want me to hate my employers? What do you have against shareholders making a profit?
IX. Charitable contributions. Although I never got a job from a poor person, I have helped many in need. Charity belongs in our local communities, where we know our needs best and can use our local talent and our local resources. Butt out, please. We want to do it ourselves.
X. Corporate bailouts. Knock it off. Sink or swim like the rest of us. If there are hard times ahead, we'll be better off just getting into it and letting the strong survive. Quick and painful. Have you ever ripped off a Band%u2011Aid? We will pull together. Great things happen in America under great hardship. Give us the chance to innovate. We cannot disappoint you more than you have disappointed us.
XI. Transparency and accountability. How about it? No, really, how about it? Let's have it. Let's say we give the buzzwords a rest and have some straight honest talk. Please try %u2011%u2011 please stop manipulating and trying to appease me with clever wording. I am not the idiot you obviously take me for. Stop sneaking around and meeting in back rooms making deals with your friends. It will only be a prelude to your criminal investigation. Stop hiding things from me.
XII. Unprecedented spending. Stop it now. Take a breath. Listen to the people.

We see you - we see it all very clearly. If you do not change direction soon, we will all pay dearly.

I ask that the Constitution be followed as it is written by the founding fathers and want the ridiculous spending curtailed before this nation goes bankrupt.
You had BEST READ & HEED but then you will not be in office next cycle.
All of congress and the president should be tried for treason. They are doing nothing to help Americans. They give OUR MONEY to other countries while Americans are hungry, homeless and without work. Start helping Americans.
Start representing the Americans you serve. Listen to the people. Put the Constitution foremost in your thoughts. Be frugal with our money. Always keep in mind that we are a democratic republic, not a socialist society. Stop believing you know what is best for the people and trust that we put you in place to represent what we believe is best for ourselves.
History will surely judge you all...but the American people's judgement will come much sooner.
I want you to listen to the will of the people not a few party leaders who are so desirous to not follow the constitution and the will of the people!
You have disgraced this country, leave it now and never return! Of course I don't expect you to feel remorse, for you are heartless, so all I ask is you LEAVE and never return!

Without qualification, I support this woman's ideals and views and her call to action for the United States of America's patriots. We want our power and our constitution back now! We are coming! CONGRESS, YOU ARE FIRED! You will get official notification via the ballot box.
Expedite applications for legal status for immigration. The fact that people cannot get legal status aggravates the illegal immigration problem. Force Obama to show his birth certificate: the real one. Or step down.
I don't think you politicians realize how you have destroyed the trust of the American people. You might want to re-think your modus operandi before you are on the street looking for a job.
Now is the time... for true change... we need change starting with those in power now, and then on to term limits for all, to enforce the change in the future.
First of all I want to say I am no relation to Robert Gibbs. I agree with everything that Janet Contreras says I have been talking to our young people and telling them about what is taking place in this country. God has opened my eyes and ears and I agree with Glenn as well.

We need term limits for both congress and senate. This is a must. Vote out anyone that supported cap and trade, stimulus,obamacare, please!

To all those in Washington D.C., WE THE PEOPLE are not going to sit by and watch the demolition of our country by those who consider us to be "astroturf" instead of the living grassroots movement we are. WE THE PEOPLE are no longer silent. We are talking and THE PEOPLE are listening. Why aren't you? WE THE PEOPLE have a vote and know how to use it.
Please read and try to understand the U.S. Contitution, it is the very thing you swore to protect and uphold when you took office. Not, to try to gain all the power and money you can for yourself.
What's really is the fact that our so called elected officials are playing the same old Obama game, and it's gone on long enough. Since when did Govt. decide who needed to be bailed out! In America, you succeed or fail, period the end! At least past presidents saluted the flag when the National Anthem was being played or sung! People are worried about communism, YOU better look around and see the SOCIALISM that's already here and around every corner!
We the people are about to take the power back. Work for the majority because the majority rules. We are not heathans, we care about our fellow man. We also believe in being responsible for our own actions, raising resposible children and a responsible society. We will teach men to fish rather than giving them one. We are taking back our country. Work for us or find another line of work.

I agree 100% the government has gone to big for thier pants - they want to run our lives, I don't need them to run mine or my families. Mr. President I am tired of you trying to socialize this country Mr. President or dare I say... is Communism your real goal? JFK had it right when he told his wife DO NOT curtsy to the Queen of England he understood it diminished his authority as the President of the United States. Rich and powerful interest groups should not be the only voices heeded by the federal (and state) government. And certainly those with radical, unAmerican ideologies like Marxism and Communism should NEVER have the kind of access to the President that they do today. Politicians, you better start caring about protecting the rights and liberties set forth in the US constitution or you will be ushered out of office. Why CHANGE what works until the goverment gets involved. I agree with everything Arizona writes, there is strenght in numbers, just look at our government.
