We only use reusable bags for every trip, it really makes zero sense to do otherwise.

I already use re-usable bags for all my shopping in Taos. I got mine before I moved here and online, but they are easy enough to buy at Cid's Food Market and Smiths (99 cents each at Smiths). Cid's gives 10 cents to charity for each bag used.

Ban the continued use and tossing of plastic everywhere! And recycle what plastic has already been produced.

We must find a better way to take home things such as groceries and other purchased goods. These are made from petroleum, they are non biodegradable, usually used just one time then thrown away going into the landfill, or left to travel the lands with the wind as a huge eyesore and a sad statement of US policy. Let Taos become a wonderful example of people who truly care and willing to step up to the hard problems facing us all.

Natural phenomena such as solar variation combined with volcanoes probably had a small warming effect from pre-industrial times to 1950 and a small cooling effect from 1950 onward. These basic conclusions have been endorsed by at least thirty scientific societies and academies of science, including all of the national academies of science of the major industrialized countries.

I already have four heavy-duty reusable shopping bags. I love them because they're easy to carry as well as reducing waste. Smith's has them cheap, even ones that keep your perishables cold.

Aqui en Taos we appreciate the out of state support, but please be sure to pass this along to other Taosenos to sign. Local signatures will make the most impact on our leaders and possibly the others will dilute it. Town and county officials- this is overdue! We can do this and it will reduce litter hugely in our lovely home- we all know those bags flying around and stuck in fences are some of the biggest eyesores - not to mention are not good for wildlife to be exposed to and fill up our landfill. BAN THEM NOW!
