Knowing that Amnesty International wants to be the world's overall human rights organization, I wonder why Amnesty International seems to ignore human rights of disabled people. A very important convention about the rights of disabled people was signed in the United Nations in December 2006. I have not seen Amnesty International refer to this convention.

Please urge Amnesty International to include the rights of disabled people in the organization's campaigns. According to UN around 10 per cent of the world's population, or 650 million people live with a disability. They are very often among the poorest, most discriminated, and most marginalized.
