Put a stop to Aerial Wolf Hunting

Alaska Governor Sarah Palin is promoting and encouraging a barbaric, inhumane, and cruel act of wildlife massacre. She has even gone as far as offering cash rewards for the severed legs of the animals murdered. Hunting is one thing, even though in my opinion it is wrong to kill an animal unless you intend to eat it, which rules out hunting of carnivores. But these majestic animals are chased and shot from planes and helicopters. There are attacked in the open, where there is no place to hide. You cannot get a clean shot from a moving plane, so wolves and other animals are left to die in horrific pain and terror. Congress has passed a Federal Airborne Hunting Act in 1972, to stop this barbarism. But Sarah Palin found a loop hole. Airborne hunting is allowed "to protect land, livestock, and human life". Aerial hunting is allowed now in areas where the caribou and moose numbers are dwindling. And they will try to argue that the hunting is to keep the prey numbers up. But wolves and other predators keep the herds healthy. And that excuse is a load of bull #$%!. If the herds are small, human hunters can't have fun killing them as well. So know, conveniently, they can hunt the herds, and shoot wolves and other defenceless animals from planes.

Hunting should not be a sport. Animals%u2019 lives should only be taken for food, or to end their suffering. Not so you have more animals to kill, and to cause suffering and abuse on animals who should live free and without fear.

Help end the massacre. Protect these magnificent creatures.

We the undersigned are addressing Sarah Palin regarding the issue of inhumane slaughter of Alaskan wolves.

Wolves are magestic, beautiful creatures. They have a social structure much like our families today. They help the environment by keeping herds healthy when they take the weak or old. Everything benifits from a wolf pack. Everything that we value in ourselves can be found in the character of a wolf. And everything bad and evil in ourselves are completely unknown to any wolf. They have been revered and honored by Natives who know the spirit of the Wild Wolf.
Never has a healthy wild wolf attacked a human in North America. Places in Europe where attacts have taken place, it was because the wolves territory was severly diminished because of human development, and they were starving from lack of wild prey, or because they were wolf/dog hybrids. And again, that is caused when humans and their pets invade the wolves homes.
These creatures deserve our respect, our gratitude, and our protection. They do not deserve to be hunted down mercilessly from terrifying flying machines. They do not deserve to be shot at and left to slowly die.
I think you believe too many childrens stories and myths. For either you are ignorant enough to fear these wonderful creatures, and you feelt you have to kill them based on unjustified predjudice, or you are just a cruel and unfeeling person who enjoys the torture and butching of these glorious animals.
You could learn many things from Wolf. He is more worthy of respect than those who murder for fun.
