Stop school closures

Health and Safety legislation in the workplace now allows for each person to have 1.5m squared not including desk space and storage space which is a great improvement on how people now work and work together, I feel this should be carried forward throughout our schools as well. I have done some research on this subject and to date I cannot find any current legislation which dictates how much space a child requires to carry out there day to day tasks in the classroom I am aware that the current Scottish Government has worked to reduce the number of children per class but still no actual facts and figures have ever been given on health and safety space requirements. I find it hard to believe that in our current climate we have an education system that still while progressing our children%u2019s education with schemes such as 21st century learning and curriculum of excellence being introduced throughout our schools which can only be seen as a step in the right direction , we are still failing to provide them with the basics of space and comfort which can only lead to a more positive attitude in the classroom therefore producing better learners in the future.
