Call for a General Election - the public didn't vote for Theresa May

*** UPDATED AFTER THERESA MAY BECAME PRIME MINISTER ***

Theresa May has become Prime Minister with no mandate from the British Public. We did not vote for her as leader of our country. She was chosen by the Tory Party alone. She will be responsible for negotiating the UK's exit from the EU.

Join me in calling for a new General Election so that we have a say in who becomes the leader of our country.

David Cameron has resigned after the British public voted by a narrow margin (52%) for the UK to leave the European Union. Pro-Brexit Boris Johnson is now likely to try to replace him as Prime Minister. Without a general election, the new Prime Minister will be chosen by the Tory party, which is undemocratic as the rest of us will not have voted for them.

Join me in calling for a new General Election following the resignation of David Cameron.

The new Prime Minister will be responsible for negotiating the best possible outcome for the UK's upcoming exit from Europe. It's essential we have an opportunity to vote for who this will be.

The majority of the UK electorate did not vote for the Tory Party in 2015 even though they won the election, and almost half the electorate voted against Brexit.

Sign and share this petition now to show Parliament that the British public demand a general election as soon as possible.
