Governor Ron DeSantis works hard at being an asshole, and he usually succeeds. This week he took it to a whole new level. With a disaster of epic proportions unfolding in Florida, he decided NOW was the time to be petty and political, and refuse to meet with President Biden because he'd rather "own the libs" than speed up aid to Floridians.
These visits may seem like just photo opps, but they send a powerful message to those impacted by disasters that our leaders will put politics aside, and work together to help their fellow Americans. But DeSanstis would rather appease his extremist idiot base in a desperate attempt to resuscitate his failing presidential campaign.
