SINCE THE CONFLICT IN IRAQ & AFGHANISTAN THERE HAS BEEN A 20% RISE IN PTSD AND TRAUMA RELATED HEALTH ISSUES IN OUR ARMED FORCES.
💂♀️It is well established knowledge that the life changing and traumatic effects of PTSD - changes not only an individuals perceptions of self, but also environment.
💂♀️With out adequate fully functional targeted specialist services it is an inescapable out come that our Armed Forces Personal, Veterans, friends and community, will continue to bare the responsibility in this,
a very personal War to protect lives - at home.
💂♀️THIS IS NOT THE LONE RESPONSIBILITYOF THESE PEOPLE,
IT IS OUR ENTIRE SOCIETY THAT IS ACCOUNTABLE FOR THE HEALTH AND WELL BEING OR OUR ARMED FORCES PERSONAL.
They serve us , we in turn owe them. It is simple.
💂♀️There is a lot of extremely good work being done, with charities and within Government Bodies to provide services, but it is STILL NOT ENOUGH.
💂♂️⚠️WE NEED AND WANT SPECIALIST MEDICAL TREATMENT FACILITIES , FUNDED AND SUPPORTED BY GOVERNMENT BODIES , STAFFED BY PROFESSIONAL PRACTITIONERS WHO'S FOCUS IS SOLELY ON OUR ARMED FORCES WELL BEING, SUCH AS PTSD AND OTHER MENTAL HEALTH AND PHYSICAL MOBILITY RELATED ISSUES.
MORE FACILITIES ARE NEEDED AND MORE MONEY/FUNDING IS URGENTLY REQUIRED TO SUPPORT THOSE WHO ARE ENTITLED TO RECEIVING GOVERNMENT FUNDING FOR VARIOUS HEALTH RELATED TREATMENTS ,
BY RIGHT OF THEIR SERVICE TO COUNTRY.
WE DEMAND THAT PTSD / MENTAL HEALTH ISSUES IN OUR ARMED FORCES RECEIVE PROMPT & TIMELY ATTENTION - TOWARDS FINDING HEALTH SOLUTIONS AND PRACTICAL APPLICATIONS FOR TREATMENT AND MORE EDUCATION TO HIGH LIGHT THE IMPORTANT SOCIAL ISSUE TO ALL OF US AS THE GREATER COMMUNITY , NOT JUST THOSE WITH IN THE ARMED FORCES COMMUNITY .
💂♀️💲This costs money.. and we accept the only the only way we can get our Government Bodies to initiate Schemes is by PUBIC PRESSURE.✊
💂♀️🤝🏛️ and it is time that our voices are heard and our concerns addressed by our representatives in local Government and in our Parliament ,
💂♀️🙏The very people who protect and enable us to enjoy this democracy are asking for our help,
They need US to use the gift of our collective power to encircle and protect them.
💂♂️We will not allow our Governments to do the bare minimum.
The current figures of Soldier Suicide and homelessness Is unacceptable for a civilized society,⚖️ To lose one is a great tragedy - to lose so many to PTSD is socially, morally and criminally neglectful .
WHEN WE SEND THEM , IT IS OUR RESPONSIBILITY TO BRING THEM ALL THE WAY HOME.
