Demand the City of Coral Gables to fill the cracks in the new streetscape or install a safe sidewalk!

The stones the City has used in the new streetscape are spaced apart with open cracks. My favorite and also very expensive shoes have been destroyed and I almost fell one evening walking the new streetscape for the first time. The stones are very difficult to walk on wearing any kind of spiked high heels. The heels completely sink into the cracks. My heels were 3 inches and completely sank, my Mother's heels are 4 inches and completely sank in the cracks and were destroyed as well. We would like the City to replace our shoes, consider installing a safe sidewalk at the store fronts and fill in the cracks perhaps with some type of load bearing material or kitty litter or gravel type rocks that allow irrigation. Open cracks with plain soft dirt many inches deep is unacceptable for high heel shoes. Removing the safe sidewalk was a bad decision from a liability standpoint as there are obvious consequences. People can become injured and their property damaged on the new streetscape. Please sign this petition if you agree and would also like your damaged shoes replaced.
