FREE BEAU FROM DEATH ROW

This is a complete injustice to this very young dog and his owner.  Kapiti Coast Council seized beau as a puppy of one and a half for an accusation of "attack" on the 11th of September last year. He and a doberman of the same age met and went about a chase Beau tackled the Doberman with an open mouth and by accident left two minor puncture wounds on its hind, you couldnt see any mark until the owner took it to the vet and got it shaved and cleaned.  KCDC seized puppy Beau and he has been sitting in the pound now for 14 months, they prosecuted him and his owner seeking $4000 sustenance, $3000 fine, $146 vetbill, a dead puppy, and a criminal conviction. Beau was assessed extensively for two hours by a dog expert who found no aggression or dangerous signs even when provoked many times. This has cost the ratepayer $20,000 There is now an appeal at the High Court in place as this is a blatant miscarriage of justice and abuse of power and position by KCDC staff who did not follow procedure or use any rationale.
