KCDC are out of control for more reasons than their dog control, they are trigger happy cowboys, abusing their position to bully, seek revenge and kill innocent family dogs.  My dog beau was one and a half when KCDC seized him for an accusation of Attack, which had they investigated properly as they said they were they would find it was rough puppy play with my dog biting the other on the bum, one drop of blood, you couldnt even see bite marks until the owner took it to the vet and got his bum shaved.  To cut a long story short KCDC have had my dog impounded now for 6 months, court prosecution 11 April 2013 they are seeking I pay $11 a day for the time hes been in there, a destruction order for him!, im to pay the vet bill for the bite on the bum, court fees, their lawyer fees, and a huge fine ....KCDC has not even followed process just rushed it to court I have had no rights or fair trial and neither has my dog, now I have to go to Court and prove that he did not attack, Ive had a dog guru behaviour expert spend two hours with him at the pound testing him, including putting a kitten in front of him he sniffed it !! he was tested against a female and male dog both strangers, also put in his territory with 6 other dogs 3 of which were strangers and he was friendly and playful and lovely...... one of the dog control officers at KCDC said when we were there 'we only seek to destroy the dog through court if its serious' the court registrar said at the status meeting 'cant this be resolved'whilst rolling her eyes! in other words this is a waste of ratepayers and courts time.  KCDC are out of control they are always in the headlines over something.  You will be reading all about this in the local media and seeing it on TV as I am contacting Campbell Live, Fair Go etc as this is such an injustice on my dog, me, the community, dog owners. KCDC ARE BEING SUED BY THE HUMAN RIGHTS COMMISSION FOR NOT PUTTING IN A DISABLED ACCESS TO THE NEW POOL! NUFF SAID - AND THEY ARE SENDING INNOCENT DOGS TO THE SLAUGHTER
