Demand that the drug Nexgard be withdrawn from the veterinary scene without delay after numerous side effects and even deaths were reported since Nexgard was given to dogs and puppies

Ever since the inception of the controversial tick and flea "remedy" Nexgard, controversy around this product has not stopped increasing.

Nexgard is supposed to protect our pets by killing the pests that invade the lives of animals. At least that part of the promise holds true: Nexgard is deadly to ticks and fleas...

If it ended there, and the quality of our pets' lives were improved by it, Nexgard would have been welcomed with  open arms... but it doesn't end with killing the pests; numerous side effects have been experienced by many beloved pets and reported by their owners, including severe gastritis, vomiting, bloody diarrhea, seizures and more. Many dogs died after having ingested this drug.

In spite of numerous calls to Meriel and the FDA, our problem seems to be ignored. And now, after the sad passing of a beautiful Cavalier Prince Charles Spaniel following being administered a dose of Nexgard, I feel that it is time to take action. Please read the posts on this public Facebook group:

We need this drug to be withdrawn from the veterinary scene with immediate effect until it can be proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that these deaths were not caused by it!

Another drug, Bravecto, contains the same active ingredient (Fluralaner) as Nexgard and the same adverse side effects were reported for it. Watching the following video will give you an idea of exactly how serious this is:

Merial: Statistics show that ever since Nexgard came onto the veterinary scene, many healthy dogs (grown as well as small pups) have either died or became very ill after Nexgard was administered to them. Please do the right thing and withdraw this drug until it can be proven beyond the shadow of a doubt that these deaths were not caused by it;

The FDA: please do the right thing and apply pressure on Merial to withdraw the poisonous drug Nexgard. We as pet owners feel that you owe us at least the peace of mind that such a withdrawall of the drug will give us...

Thanks
