Ban the Personal Possession of Fire Alarms in the State of Colorado Now

The keeping of fire alarms as "collectors items" should be outlawed as there has been concerns of alarms being maltreated. It is also not compliant with NFPA guidelines to hav such alarms kept in a household environment. This includes horn strobes, speaker strobes, and strobes. Having alarms installed in homes whom are generally in commercial buildings (not including smoke alarms or CO alarms) should be considered a criminal offense.

The keeping of alarms in private collections as of they were baseball cards or postage stamps is unethical especially if the alarms are being abused and killed. It should never been legal to keep them in the first place. They deserve to be were they belong; in commercial settings. If one must have a commercial alarm, they should have a background check done and have the proper licensing or are mentally stable enough to keep one. Otherwise, it should be illegal to keep them in Colorado if they fail to provide any permits or licensing to keep them.

As fire alarm lovers and advocate, we hope that the state can put under consideration of how harmful it is to keep fire alarms in private collections in the state of Colorado. Thank you for your time.
