Reinstate John Bordelon and Relieve Robert Jordan of duties

WE the stakeholders of Justin-Siena High School would like to petition that Robert Jordan, current President of Justin-Siena High School be relieved of his duties as president for his untimely, inappropriate, and rash decision to fire John Bordelon, Principal of Justin-Siena High School.

WE are also petitioning for the immediate reinstatement of John Bordelon to his post as Principal of Justin-Siena High School.

In the short time as principal of Justin-Siena, John Bordelon has demonstrated a commitment to the students and the institution. WE have seen so much growth and a clear vision of a school that is truly beginning to distinguish itself as a leader amongst other Catholic College Preparatory institutions, and realizing its mission as Lasallian school .

The unprofessional, mysterious, ill-timed decision, and lack of communication to the broader community regarding the sudden termination is inconceivable and unacceptable. This has no characteristics of the Lasallian values the school works so hard to instill in its students and live out as a broader community. The timing is selfish given the vulnerability of our community after the fires. The seniors are in the middle of the really stressful college application deadline season. The sophomores and juniors will be having national testing day on Wednesday with major implications on their futures academically. Teachers are trying to reestablish a sense of normalcy within their classes. Finally, this was not the way to kick off our much needed and anticipated homecoming celebration.

This decision is not in the best interest of our students, faculty, and community. The office of the president has failed all of its stakeholders. In the end, the greatest losers in all of this will be our students. WE demand the immediate reinstatement of John Bordelon as principal and the immediate removal of Robert Jordan as president.

By signing this petition WE the parents, students, teachers, alums, and other benefactors of Justin-Siena are giving the office of the president a vote of no confidence. We pray that this injustice will be reconciled in a timely manner for the sake of the entire Justin-Siena community.
