A natural gas pipeline with the potential to destroy the country is being built from PA to LA along the New Madrid Fault!
About 2/3 of the pipeline route follows the New Madrid Fault line, which many scientists believe will shift and cause a major earthquake in our lifetimes. The magnitude of such a quake would literally change the landscape of heartland America. In 1811 and 1812, a series of earthquakes occurred along the fault that remains the most powerful earthquakes to hit the eastern United States in recorded history. The appearance of major sink holes along the fault line suggests the region is still active. Make no mistake, when this occurs (not if), the United States will suffer catastrophic loss of life and property. The landscape would be forever changed, and the financial impact on the rest of the country would be devastating. Couldn't get worse...or could it?
Enter the pipeline. Imagine a flaming fireball engulfing the entire span of heartland America, blazing out of control - - a blaze so powerful that the plentiful natural gas reserves in Pennsylvania ignite and blow the entire region off the map.
