Urge Congress to Cut Weapon Sales to Saudi Arabia Over Yemen Atrocities!

Today, Saudi Arabia is leading a coalition of Arab states that have been intervening in Yemen's civil war in an effort to curb the advance of the anti-government Houthi movement.

Instead of saving lives, the Saudi-led coalition has routinely targeted civilian areas, including hospitals and schools. In one particularly horrific incident, the coalition launched missiles on a Yemeni wedding, leaving more than 130 people dead.

The United States has blood on its hands for these actions. Since the Saudi intervention began, the U.S. has sent military equipment, munitions, vehicles and advisers to back the coalition.

Recently, however, the White House has taken steps to change this; first, the Obama administration announced that the cluster bombs would no longer be sent to Saudi Arabia and more recently it decided that other arms sales would be limited.

This is not enough.

The United States will continue to provide helicopters, supplies and advisers to the Saudi-led coalition. The U.S. will also continue to provide fuel to its air force -- in effect still enabling the deaths of civilians in Yemen.

Tell Congress that it is time that new bills be passed to not only make the White House's actions permanent but to expand them to curb the Saudi-coalition's war crimes by sharing and adding your name to this petition!
