In this day and age there is no reason an animal control facility needs to use a gas box. It is a slow painful and fearful way to die. I've heard all the excuses of why not like, well not enough man power, or we'd have to pts a dog in front of another. Well Mr Ciriaco Vilarrel do you not think that those animals don't hear the desperate cries to escape? They do. Did you know it's more exspsive to gas an animal than to humanaly euthenise it? We are demanding the gassing of innocent dogs, puppies, cats and kittens stop in Mathis Tx.

Mr Ciriaco Vilarrel as the mayor of Mathis Tx, we the below signed are voicing the voice of the voiceless animals that die a slow death in your animal control shelter. We ask that this pratice stop. In the age of so many other ways to end the life of an animal control dog or cat, gassing is unnecessary and more exspensive.
If there was a law that would mandate spay and nueter of city pets, then you would be spending less on catching and killing, saving tax dollars, pets lives. There should be a fee assed if people don't want to spay / nuetuer for breeders. Possibily a breeders license. This protects their rights, and keeps the population of unwanted pets down.
