Change the Speed of Light's Name

Why does the velocity of all Electro-Magnetic Waves take on the name of Light? It should be called the Speed of Waves. This takes into account the feelings of Gamma, X-Ray, Ultraviolet, Infrared, Microwave,and Radio waves. EM WAVE EQUALITY
