Help us save our urban natural habitat

A house in our neighborhood in Portland, Oregon, was bought in March, 2016, and became a short-term rental in May. The owner has removed several trees on this flag lot and has stated she plans to remove several more old Doug firs over 12" in diameter so cars have more room to turn around. These old trees add much to our lives on a daily basis as we watch squirrels and birds build nests, enjoy the shade and noise barriers they provide, and even act as a bulwark against global warming. It is really heart-rending to us to lose them.  We love the sights and sounds of animal residents and do not want to lose more of our canopy. This is Airbnb at its worst, right here in Portland. We love our trees and the creatures who live here. Please help us save them!  Join us in asking the city to deny this business a driveway/turnaround permit.
