Take the Shrine Circus Poll Speak Up for Animals Suffering for Entertainment

The Shrine Circus has published a two question online poll wanting to know what your favorite circus acts are. Your input is needed to help remind them that your favorite circus acts never involve the use of animals, especially earth’s largest land mammal, the elephant.

Click on this link. For Question 1,

choose three of the following, which avoid the animal acts: Juggling and Balancing, Acrobatics & Tight Rope, High Flying Trapeze, Daredevil and Thrill Acts, or Clowns and Comedy.

Choose any answer for Question 2.

Supplying your e-mail address is optional. Enter the verification number at the bottom of the poll and click "submit" and you’re done!

The US Dept. of Agriculture has cited Shrine Circus animal exhibitors for numerous violations. In 2011, a USDA Inspection Report noted the elephants were not under the direct control of handlers. In 2010, an animal handler was killed by an African elephant named Dumbo after being kicked and thrown 20 feet. In 2009, the Hejaz Shrine Circus failed to provide veterinary care for elephants who were all in horrific condition and each were underweight by more than 500 lbs. The list of abuses and violations goes on.

Please take the Shrine Circus poll now and let them know you don’t support elephants or any animal in a circus by selecting options from their list of preferred circus acts that by their very nature exclude animals.
