PLEASE sign (then share) mine and Abby Lee's petition to not change out ticketing system for football this year!!! We received an email this morning saying: There is a "new online student ticket distribution system for the 2015 football season. Here are a few key points to note about the new system: The new system is quite similar to the previous system, except the new system is online. Tickets will still be distributed by class: IPTAY Collegiate Club, Graduate Students, Seniors, Juniors, Sophomores, and Freshmen, in 6 hour intervals. Tickets will be selected by section, and within each section, students will select seats on game day by general admission, making it easier to sit with friends. Students who log on earlier within their time slot will have a better opportunity to select their desired section, similar to the previous system. Students will print their tickets at home or at school and bring them to the game." THIS IS NOT OKAY PEOPLE!!!
We have A LOT of concerns for the new ticketing system.
1-This will take away all our tailgating time if we want to get a decent seat in our section. How do they expect us to spend time with our families that come visit us at the games if we have to go stand in line outside the gate and then sit in the stadium for 2 hours just to try to get a decent seat?
2-Camping out is all part of the experience with Clemson ticketing. Why be like all the other schools? It's something that sets us apart from other places and it's worked in the past. You can sit with your friends if you camp with your friends- its that simple. This new system is not going to be fun... at all. It's just going to tick people off (and ruin our senior year football season).
3-We need a specific seat #. How can we get up and go to the bathroom without having someone steal our seat of we don't have a ticket showing the specific seat number? This is going to cause so many problems and probably a lot of fights.
4-Doing ticketing online will become an issue very quickly. It will be slow just like everything else we have to signup for online (classes for example)- the site will crash and we won't get good seats on time.
