Karen Gillan has posted on twitter a couple times, and said in interviews that she knows of Community's spoof of Doctor Who (Inspect Spacetime) and thinks it's great! Not only will signing this petition help to get yet another gorgeous woman on Community, but we will also be bringing over a lot of Whovians who will watch the show just to see her!
We, the fans of both Community and Doctor Who, have created this petition in the hopes that we can bring our two favorite things together for a lot of really great laughs. Understanding that guest stars do not always fit seemlessly into telivision shows, we trust in Dan Harmon that if he can make an appearance by Hilary Duff not seem out of place, he can do the same with Karen Gillan.
We, the fans, also see this as a way to preserve two things which have grown very dear to us. The first is another chance to see Karen on our TVs before her run as a companion is officially over. The other, is the mass of Doctor Who fans that will watch Community just to see her, and in turn discover Inspector Spacetime and other awesome things. With the combined strength of Whovians, we firmly believe that we can succeed in our goal of six seasons and a movie.
Please really consider this idea. That is all we are really asking. The hope is that if creative people get attached to an idea, they will be able to find a way to make it happen.
