I believe it is very important that all children in full time education be provided a free school meal. They will have the benefit of a good start in life by being healthier and being provided with the correct balance of nutrients this will increase their learning capabilities.
The present scheme is of great benefit to the children and being extended will benefit them all. I had free school meals and milk and I have seen from my own experience the difference it has made to my grandchildren and now it is ending I believe it is a shame to cease the good work that has been done.
ALL the children will suffer irrespective of income, it is an expense for all families particulary those on a low income and in some circumstances that means not being able to provide the food that is recommended that we eat. By providing this benefit now it may prevent health issues in the future.
I hope you believe as passionately about this is isssue as I do and sign this petition because we all want to see our children, grandchilrden and great grandchilrden be given the best start in their lives.
