RIP to all these beautiful animals. They died in a hell hole in Coolidge AZ where the city manager openly admits to HATING pitbulls and would LOVE to see them banned. There is no access to the public to this shelter and they work with NO rescues. They use to move their dogs to Pinal Eleven Mile shelter but starting immediately they will no longer be transporting them to Pinal. The dogs will sit in this concrete hell for the mandatory hold time then be euthanized. THey do not have a chance as no one knows where this building is because Animal Control doesn't want anyone to know. If by chance someone sees these animals on our Pinal facebook page, the ACO will take the dog down to the admin building so you can meet him/her. There is no heat, no AC and they only have 3 concrete walls to protect them from the elements. We want this shelter be closed and all dogs and cats be transfered to the Pinal Eleven Mile shelter but most of all, we need to be able to get to see inside the shelter what is really going on there...

A local rescue group, Helping Orphaned Hounds,  requested to see the animals and the Coolidge facility but have been denied access numerous times. Reason given was the condition of the facilities. We formally request that this groups will get access to the animal shelter, not the administrative building but the actual facility where the animals are housed, to view the animals and facilities on Friday, January 25, 2013 at 4:30pm. They will meet at the administrative office and request an escort to the shelter.
