The students of Walden Lake Elementary and our PTA raise funds each year to send the 5th grade class on a "End Of The Year" field trip. In the years past, the field trip has been to Universal Studios, in which each class has enjoyed and looked forward to having their chance to attend Universal Studios. Universal Studio is educational and fun for all.
This year without Parents, Students and PTA members the staff at Walden Lake Elementary chose to change the end of the year field trip to Epcot at Disney. Epcot may be educational about different cultures, but it is not a place where a 10/11 yr old would like to spend the day. Since we (parents and 5th grade class of 2012/2013) raised money for our end of the year field trip, we feel that WE should have a right to vote and voice our opinions on where WE should go on OUR field trip.
