KU pass/fail grade option

في ظل الازمه الحاليه والتغيرات الطارئة منها سواء ف التعليم او القطاعات الاخرى، فان طلاب جامعة خليفه يطلبون بكامل الود والاحترام ان يتم تطبيق نظام النجاح/الرسوب الاختياري كما فعلتها بعض الجامعات الاخرى كالجامعة الامريكية في الشارقة و كليات التقنيه العليا لما فيه من جوانب ايجابيه تخفف عبئ كبير على الطلاب التي نتجت سواء من التعليم عن بعد او تغيير مفاجئ في الروتين اليومي لما فيه من اثر سلبي على الطلاب وعلى المحصل الاكاديمي. النظام يسمح للطلاب باختيار ما اذا كان الطالب يريد (النجاح او الرسوب- ولكن درجة الماده لاتدخل ف المعدل ولكن يتم احتساب الساعات ) او ان يتم على على نفس نظام الدرجات المتبعه لدى جامعة خليفة واحتساب درجاتهم في المعدل التراكمي. النظام سيحفظ حق كافة الطلبة من التغيرات الطارئة حاليا ويحفظ حقوقهم. نعلم ان الجامعة تمر باوقات صعبة وحرجة ونتفهم جميع الامور،لذا نود ان نساعدكم بابداء اراءنا لنتحد جميعا في الاوقات الصعبة ونكون يد بيد.

In light of the current crisis and the urgent changes thereof, whether in education or other sectors, the students of Khalifa University request with full cordiality and respect that the system of success / voluntary repetition to be applied as some other universities like the American University of Sharjah and the Higher Colleges of Technology have done. Due to its positive aspects that reduce the burden among students which is caused by distance learning or a sudden change in the daily routine which may alter academic outcomes negatively. The system allows students to choose whether the student wants (success/ failure - but the grade of the course is not included in the CGPA, however, the hours are calculated), or follow the traditional system of degrees followed by Khalifa University and grades that are calculated as GPAs. The system will preserve the right of all students due to current change. We know that the university is going through difficult and critical times and we understand all things, so we would like to participate by sharing and expressing our opinions, to unite all of us in difficult times and to work hand in hand.
