Fendi and Fur, a Deadly Combination. Ask Fendi to Stop Using Fur in Their Fashion.

Most people have never even heard of Fendi — even fewer are able to afford their prices. But the Italian company is a juggernaut in the fashion industry producing some of the most desired looks year after year. This year, however, Fendi made headlines not for hitting the mark, but for missing it altogether.

Earlier this month the fashion house was lambasted for creating what the Twitterverse and journalists are calling the "vulva" scarf — a pink scarf with folds and lined with fur — that makes fashionistas who don it look as if they were being born. The design has become a laughing stock, but there is one thing that isn't funny at all about this ready-to-wear design, the fact that Fendi has used real fox fur to make it.

While fashion houses like Michael Kors, DVF, Versace, and Burberry have all announced that they will go fur-free this year, Fendi has decided this fatal fashion still belongs on the runway.

Unfortunately, companies like Fendi are still being complicit in the abuse and slaughter of foxes and other animals for fashion. They refuse to recognize or care that every coat, bag, or shoe that uses fur comes at an extreme cost to the animal it belonged to before. We need to stand together to do everything we can to end this horrible practice.

And Fendi needs to get with the rest of fashion.

Let's tell Fendi that fur-free is the new black! Please sign this petition demanding that Fendi commit to going fur-free.
