Hey India! Being Gay is Not a Crime!

India's Supreme Court has issued a ruling that effectively re-bans same-sex sexual relationships, a massive blow to human rights in the country.

Penal Code provision 377 was ruled unconstitional by the Delhi High Court in 2009, but the Supreme Court has overturned that ruling, saying there is nothing unconstitutional about the provision and that India's lawmakers must be the ones to repeal the law.

We the undersigned commend India's Government for its strong statement against 337 and call on all Indian lawmakers to recognize and act immediately to retire the country's ban on same-sex sexual relationships--human rights are not negotiable and being gay should not be a crime!
