Urge Nike to hire the former SEALs who killed Bin Laden

In addition to being world-class athletes operating at the peak of their profession, the SEALs that raided Bin Laden's compound are national heroes and deserve to be rewarded for their historic achievement. Like many returning vets, some of these SEALs may be facing serious financial challenges at home and these challenges are compounded by the fact that they are forever at risk of being targeted by terrorists. These guys can be found if they want to be found and I think a company like Nike should offer to hire them as consultants to develop better all-terrain gear, or even just pay them to use products and provide feedback (their true identities should remain secret).

Nike has the money: they just signed an endorsement deal with golfer Rory McIlroy for up to $100M - and they've had multi-million dollar contracts with others like Tiger Woods, Lance Armstrong, Kobe Bryant, and Oscar Pistorius... If Nike can spend $100Ms on these athletes, they should invest a few dollars in former members of SEAL Team Six who are clearly both world-class athletes and true heroes. Given their expertise and experience, the company that hires these guys could also very well end-up with the best line of outdoor gear on the planet.

If you agree, please sign this petition and encourage your friends to do the same.  Thank you.

Note: Active SEAL Team Six members are not required to wear standard-issue combat clothing - e.g. one of the team members aparently opted for Salomon Quest boots to protect his ankles - i.e. They can almost certainly offer unique insight for a company like Nike that sells outdoor gear.
