SAVE THE GREEN

A planning application has recently begun for a community building to be built directly onto land that has been a favoured spot for children, dog walkers, and basically everyone who has ever lived in my neighbourhood. I have lived here for 12 years and can honestly say that this community centre will not only ruin the sanctity of the current landscape, but will also disturb the fragile disabled community that lives within a home directly next to it. It would not benefit my neighbourhood as it would serve no other purpose than to suck money from the residents that already have a friendly pub, chain of restaurants and a local shop with friendly staff. They will be adding additional parking which means noisy cars, more pollution (not to mention the trees and plants they will be mowing down will add to this) and more harm than good.

The neighbourhood of Neath Hill is built on families, parks and green. We are already happy with what we have a community building would just damage the clean and positive to the environment image that we have. Destroying what little green space my town has left would dishearten so many residents and leave a void where concrete now stands. This is not London, this is a town where we value people over another new useless building.
