Bank Holiday weekend Mon 07th May Ruislip Lido PARKING FINES

Over the beautiful bank holiday weekend thousands of people flocked to Ruislip Lido to enjoy the sun . I have lived locally for over 20 years and in all my years of going to the Lido I have never seen it so busy.

It was lovely to see such a crowd coming together enjoy the local facilities however the enjoyment was brought to a very disappointing end when I returned to my vehicle to receive a parking fine for the value of £110 . Not only did my car have a ticked on but hundreds of cars seemed to have also received tickets from parking wardens from Hillingdon Council.

The fact that so many cars received parking tickets on a Bank Holiday weekend is a clear indication that either the signs were clearly not visible or people like myself believed that it was OK to park along this road as so many had been parking their prior to my arrival. The council had provided a lit up sign on the road stating that the Lido car park was full however did not provide any further instructions or advice as to where the general public should park.
I believe that for the lack of adequate parking ,appropriate signs, advice or instructions provided by the council indicates that advantage was taken of the general public.
For this reason I believe that all fines given over the bank holiday weekend 07/05/2018 should be void.

The council would have been made fully aware that there was a parking issue within the Lido and should have had cones or addition signs put into place to prevent the general public encuring fines or causing obstruction.

There was no indication that any of the vehicles parked along Ducks Hill Road in Ruislip was causing any obstruction.

I would like to get as many signatures as possible to have the council waver the fines received.
