Justice and fairplay for Landen Gambill and other victims of Univ of NC Chapel Hill

  • by: Henry McWilliams
  • recipient: The University of North Carolina to have then change there policy so that when rape victums can not/will not face being expelled or punnished in any way for discussing there ordeal.

Under the present "Honor Code" a person can and in this case a person has been raped, and becuse she has brought light to her being attacked and then raped she is being threatened with anything from being put on probation, to being expelled.  Her rapest is being protected by the University and thus saying that it is OK to rape a woman.  That a person has no right to seak and recive justice.  By signing this Petion you are saying that it is wrong to do any of the following:

protect a rapest from reciveing a just punishment,

That it is wrong to punnish a rape victum a 2ed time becuse they seek justice for themself or others.

That it is wrong to try and discourage  victums of any crime or violation of there rights to seak justice.

That an honor code should wk to protect the people who are victims not the ones who create victims.

That The University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill should change there policy.

That UNC-Chapel Hill or its represenatives drop all charges against Landen Gambrill and any other students who come forward be exempt from such behavior by the University or any of its agents.

I/we belive that victums like Landen Gambill—a sophomore at your University should not be punnished for seaking justice for her/themselves or others who have suffered at the hands of another. It is there fore requested any charges against her or that could/might be brought against others be dropped or never be brought by altering the "Honor Code"  That such cases be left to/directed to/refered to Local law enforcement.
