Save our shops

The voice of 'save our shops' campaign is made up of local independent businesses, some providing services, to you our valued customers, for over 40 years. We aim, where possible, to provide you with local produce sourced from local farms and companies who employ local staff. Other essential services are provided: such as the post office,local collect,pay point,newspapers and magazines,national lottery and many many more. With lidl's controversial plans to develop a store on the Holbeach Road site, we are at risk of losing all of the above. Collectively we employ over twenty five members of staff. The size of the development proposed will cause major problems on this road, which is already highly congested at peak times. The site proposed is surely more suited to additional housing of which there is a shortage. Lidl's arrival would result in local businesses closing down and premises being left derelict. This has already happened In our town centre. We are asking you for support. Help keep these shops open, keep our streets safe to cross and keep excess traffic noise and pollution down.
