Bring FrogVision Up to Standards

TCU fans are proud of the work that our Athletic department has done to make the University a top echelon institution for college athletics.

The Horned Frogs are truly a national brand, competitive in nearly every sport, not just for conference championships or winning records, but in many cases for NCAA titles.

Our branding and visibility is important not only to our dedicated fan base and alumni, but also the continuance of our athletic success. As TCU is a university dedicated to being on the cutting edge of educational and athletic marketing, an online presence is extremely important. Future student athletes increasingly turn to online sources and social media with each passing year, not only for information gathering but for information sharing, and reputations can be improved or adversely affected very quickly.

Unfortunately, one area that has fallen short of the standards set by our Athletic and Marketing departments is FrogVision. Many major universities at the highest level of competition choose not to charge for online streaming content. Frog fans have never been “cheap”, and do not object heavily to paying for their content. However, to date the quality of content has been poor at best, and in many situations, games and events which have been announced as included or covered have been cancelled (i.e. #1 TCU Baseball versus Penn State 2/18/2017) or interrupted/knocked offline by technical glitches. $9.95 per month, or $99 per year is not an inexpensive subscription, even for perfect quality, and is especially not acceptable versus our institution’s standards if the product is subpar.

TCU has set the bar very high for its brand. With this comes great expectations.

SIGN THE PETITION to request that FrogVision be improved by: 1. A specific and timeline-based plan, made public, for solving technical or other issues that contribute to lost coverage or poor quality, and 2. Suspension of subscription cost until the technical and coverage issues are solved
