Ban Politicians from Abusing the 2nd Amendment

Whenever evil goes on the attack and kills and injures our citizens, including children, using guns, trucks, bombs, or knives, the first reaction of politicians is to disarm law abiding citizens. This has no effect on criminals and fails to deter evildoers from obtaining weapons of all kinds. For example, the citizens of Paris are not permitted to carry firearms, yet in several incidents, evildoers were able to obtain fully automatic weapons, which they used to slaughter and mame hundreds of innocent men, women, and children.

This petition calls for politicians of all stripes to either give up their armed protection, or forever cease and desist on attempts to strip law abiding citizens of their God-given rights.

Further, this petition calls on politicians, local school boards, and school administrators to harden the protection of our children by hiring, training, and funding a professional staff of armed quasi-military personnel to constantly patrol our schools and to identify,triangulate, and dispatch any threat to our children. More generally, this petition calls on congress to permanently fund professional protection squads whose purpose is to defend soft targets with highly trained armed personnel, using advanced strategic and tactical methods, supported by aggressive, intelligent leaders who have strong backgrounds in leading similar units in the military and/or civilian police organizations.  Current methods used by schools and other soft targets employ retired, semi-retired, or off-duty police, or retired military personnel, but this is not adequate for soft target protection.

As part and parcel of the soft target protection program, firearms training, including advanced tactical training, will be made available to USA citizens of all 50 states.  This is a voluntary program, however, it is a rigorous, lengthy program which includes training on the use of firearms to thwart an active assault.  The cost is born by the student, but if they complete the theory and application components of the training, they will be licensed to carry firearms in all 50 states, and WILL BE PERMITTED to carry in soft target locations.  The student must retrain every year, participate in regular field situational practices, and must undergo rigorous background and psychiatric evaluations.  The particpant must re-certify every year, or at other times as identified by the program's administrative authority.

Further, this petition calls for the federal funding of BigData and Machine Learning initiatives, the goal of which is to perform analysis, such as linear regression, on digital and other information footprints left by potential evildoers, for example, social media footprint, emails, texts, and any and all electronic and other forms of information available on the internet, home computers, mobile devices, and other forms of computing, networking, and communication, such as reports from citizens about evildoer behavior, for example, police reports or FBI reports, or reports by students to school authorities.

In addition, we are calling for the reorganization of the FBI, who have failed on several occassions to "connect the dots" in advance of mass assaults, where the evildoer left footprints either on social media, or via persons who observed the behavior of evildoers, reported it to the FBI, but the FBI failed to act.

We also are calling for additional Human Services programs, the purpose of which is to identify individuals with isolation behavior, antisocial behavior, psychiatric issues, tendencies toward violence, histories of being harassed and/or bullied, and in general other behaviors that raise suspicion or raise concern for an individuals mental and physical well being. These additinal Human Services staff would counsel such individuals and families so that they can address their issues before violent behavior is manifested.

Lastly, we support additional screening of those interested in purchasing firearms, such as additional components of the firearms background check which include data analysis results from the BigData and Machine Learning program, as well as any data available from the proposed Human Services enhancements, plus any results from psychiatric, medical, and drug screening. However, this program will only be implemented if robust safeguards are in place to protect individuals from being painted with a broad brush, as politicians would attempt to do to prevent entire populations from obtaining firearms. That is, this suggested program has high potential for abuse by anti-2nd Amendment politicians, and therefore, if sufficient safeguards cannot be developed AND demonstrated, then this suggested program MUST be scratched.
