Final Fantasy IV and the After Years are a fan favorite among gamers, and some did not have the chance to play these remakes on the original DS or PSP consoles. With a Steam release for PC, it was hoped that there would be some improvements over the originals, including the option to switch the voiced dialogue to Japanese. This was not the case, as only English was available at launch, and it appears there are no plans to add Japanese. In addition, many were disappointed to find that the framerates in battles are locked at 15 frames per second, and nearly a year later, this has still not been officially fixed.
We ask Square Enix to consider these changes for future updates.

We, the fans, are happy to have Final Fantasy IV and the After Years on Steam, but we humbly ask that you give us the option to choose Japanese voice overs, as well as increase the battle framerate to 30 FPS. Many of us feel that these are much-needed updates for these games and we hope that you will consider them for any future updates.
