Stop the BBC Axing Free TV Licence for over 75’s

The BBC are planning to axe the free TV licence from next year for over 75’s. This is an outrageous move by the BBC to rake in more money from the elderly of this country, who have paid their taxes all of their working lives. I find it disgusting that such a corporation can remove something that is a lifeline for many elderly people. The television can be a source of comfort to the lonely and the ill. For some it’s the only way they have any human interaction. This decision can and will push members of our elderly community into poverty when it comes to either buying food or paying for a licence and some will choose the latter as its all they have. We cannot morally allow the BBC to do this to people. Sign and share this petition and together let us defend those that can’t defend themselves!
