Before selling off town property to any organization, making a decision not to utilize the property for the town, and removing that property from potential tax income, the residents of Mount Hope/Otisville should have an opportunity to vote on this decision.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS DOES NOT TAKE THE PLACE OF SIGNING THE PHYSICAL PETITION.  THAT IS THE LEGAL PETITION NEEDED TO BE PRESENTED TO THE BOARD (as it needs to be witnessed).  You can sign it M-F at Ketcham Fencing offices.  This petition is for those that are not able to get there to sign the physical petition before Monday, will also be presented to the board but this does NOT have legal impact!

Dear Members of the Mount Hope Town Board,

We, the residents of Mount Hope/Otisville request that the property known as the former Otisville Elementary School NOT be sold without a public vote on this decision.

We love our community.  Many of us went to school at this elementary school and we do not wish to see it sold off without our voices being heard.

We are officially petitioning the town for a referendum and are providing you with signatures of more than 5% of registered voters for Mount Hope.
