Nuclear power has too many potential safety issues, and waste disposal issues to be a viable power source for the future.  Yet, the U.S. government and many electric utility companies continue to propose the building of new nuclear power plants in the U.S. to meet future demand.  These same organizations seem reluctant to look at successful solar and wind implementations in Europe and Canada that could easily be reproduced in the U.S.

Pledge to encourage your representatives and power companies to abandon plans for new nuclear power facilities, and instead look toward solar, wind, and other clean alternative energy sources.
