Me and many other law abiding citizens just find it completely hypocritical that poisons such as opiates, opioids, alcohol, and cigarettes are completely legal and are so harmful there are enormous amounts of deaths due to overdose, cancer, alcohol poisoning, drunk driving, crime related to drugs like pain pills, and so on but its illegal to smoke marijuana to relax or relive the stress of the day but I could go to a bar get sloppy drunk and make horrible life altering/ending decisions for myself or innocent bystanders. Can we please just put an end to this and fully legalize marijuana there is so many benefits so few disadvantages and billions of dollars to be made to help our people and country. I truly feel this would bring a decrease in drug and alcohol related crimes due to a rise in marijuana legality many people don't use marijuana only because it isn't legal. I also believe this would lower the addiction rate in places like my home state of Kentucky because of a non addictive option in pain relief. So again i ask, no I beg please just legalize marijuana not only for those who want it but for those who need it or those who don't even know they need it. Please lets do something big in our lifetime and do the right thing please sign this petition and help those who need it.
