End the Skateboard Ordinance!

Dallas Township has recently provided their locality with an ordinance on the recreational activity known as skateboarding. As far as anyone knows, a handful of out kids not from the general area were "skate-hitching" on cars in the area. Skate hitching is when someone is on their skateboard, and grabs onto a moving cars bumper. Instead of disciplining said kids, they punished a whole demographic of kids in order to prove their point. In this ordinance , not one single person can ride a skateboard on public streets, or as poorly stated in the ordinance any means of transportation powered by human power , gravity , or a motor. I believe this is a pretty cruel punishment and anyone who enjoys skateboarding, even someone who just would like to ride the streets like you would on a bike. I believe the city should end the ordinance and try to come up with a better solution, such as a specific location where kids with skateboards can go and enjoy themselves.
