We are told to avoid sharks by not getting in the water at dawn and dusk.
But this is the best time to enjoy the beach.
After 50 years of surfing, spearfishing and paddling I know that these times are generally the only time to frequent the beach unless you just want to sunbake.
Anyone who suggests otherwise obviously is not a beach user and should not be commenting.
So the question is do we protect people or sharks. The sharks today are bigger than they have ever been before and humans are now on their menu. Netting them just moves them to another beach. Seems like it is just to make it some one elses problem. Maybe a small island that we don't hear about.
We must send a message to the govt that the protection of these predators must stop.
It is not working and all our kids are at risk.
