An Apology to the World Community, From the Citizens of The United States

We, the people of the United States, want to apologize to the world community, for the hurtful and divisive words spoken by our current President, Mr. Donald Trump.

We want you to know that his views, politics and rhetoric, are not representative of how we feel about the people and cultures that make up the countries of our shared world.

Within every single country, there exists extreme minorities who espouse bigotry, racism and misogyny. It is extremely upsetting to us that a person who holds these beliefs has become our President.

Please realize that although he was elected by our electoral process, Mr. Trump lost the popular vote in the election. Prior to the election, members of the Republican Party attempted to stop him by creating an "Anybody but Trump" movement. From Mr. Trump's first day in office there has been a constant stream of protests and dissent in reaction to his hurtful commentary. Notice too, the results of the elections in our country since he took office. One after one, Republicans are losing elections, solely because of their political connection to Mr. Trump.

Once again, we are sorry and want you to know that Mr. Trump does not speak for or represent Americans.

Thank you,

The majority of United States citizens
