Petition to BBMP, Bangalore, to prevent the culling of stray dogs

The Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) has decided to do away with 50% of the street dogs in Bangalore since they are considered a "menace" to the human population. The other half is going to be dumped in an isolated area away from humans. Now here is the question. Is killing them the solution? Absolutely not. If humans have the right to live, so do they. The only reason why these poor dogs turn violent and rabid is because they are abused by people for "fun" and because nobody wishes to adopt them, feed them, or show them any form of love or care. Consequently, they are forced to survive on the little food they find while rummaging through garbage dumps and gutters. Which is the sole cause for their Rabies and other diseases.
While we are totally aware of the mauling cases, we also believe that the government can tackle the situation in a much more humane and graceful manner, rather than brutally killing the dogs. BIRTH CONTROL is the solution, not murder.
If you feel the same way, please sign this petition so that we can save our street dogs! :)
